Standard Imaging is proud to recognize two medical physicists who will receive individual awards at this year’s AAPM Annual Meeting.
Larry DeWerd, Ph.D., Chief Science Officer & Co-founder of Standard Imaging, will receive the Edith H. Quimby Lifetime Achievement Award. This honorary award recognizes AAPM members whose long standing careers have been notable based on their outstanding achievements.
Regina Fulkerson, Ph.D. will receive the Farrington Daniels Award for Best Article on Radiation Dosimetry Published in Medical Physics for her paper “Dosimetric characterization and output verification for conical brachytherapy surface applicators (Part 1: electronic brachytherapy source).” Regina Fulkerson, Ph.D. utilized the Standard Imaging Exradin A20 Ion Chamber to conduct the research.
