Middleton, Wisconsin (June 19, 2023) - Standard Imaging, Inc. is excited to announce that they have greatly exceeded this year’s fundraising goal and will be donating the entire proceeds to our local UW Carbone Cancer Center in support of Radiation Therapy research. Thanks to the success of the 21st Annual Battling Cancer Golf Classic fundraiser, the event achieved a record-breaking amount of $32,181! The primary use of these funds will be for cancer research at UW Carbone, a local resource with a global impact.

The opening remarks for the event this year were provided by Dr. Josh Lang, UW Oncology and Janie Winston from UW Carbone Center. Dr. Lang’s message as a cancer researcher was “These dollars will be utilized to fund pilot studies, primarily in Radiation Therapy, that can lead the way to breakthroughs in cancer diagnosis and treatment”. Ms. Winston followed with an inspiration for the day stating, “Annual fundraisers such as the Standard Imaging Battling Cancer Golf Classic are instrumental in augmenting our budgets for this innovative research.”

Standard Imaging’s owners, employees, event sponsors and golfers have raised a total of more than $449,000 for cancer research over the 21 years of the event’s existence.

“The support received from our sponsors, participants and donations is continually amazing,” said Standard Imaging CEO and event director, Ed Neumueller. “We filled Maple Bluff Country Club with 132 golfers, who were very generous and supportive of this cause, along with other supporters participating online in our raffle and silent auction. We are very grateful for their help in raising funds to combat this disease that affects so many of us and our families.”
